Modular Rack

While I did not create the metal racks that the modules are mounted in, I did build the housing for the metal racks out of wood with my faather. This was a gratifying project that turned out really well.

Another angle; to make the emblem on the side, I used a router to carve it into the wood then used a wood burning tool to darken the lines.

Top view; I used a sheet of clear acrylic as the backing. One day I'll mount leds that are voltage controlled by the synth itself.

Modular Riffing

Sometimes it's just fun to daydream and come up with ideas. I wrote a couple (well, more than a couple...) down. Below are pictures of the breadboards of some of the concepts and notes I made of other ideas.

Hiking

Pictures from various hikes I've taken. I typically go hiking with my sister and she takes the pictures, but occsionally I'll have my phone on me and take a picture or two.

I think this is humpback rocks, but I can't remember for sure. It was a nice hike, and the view from the top was great.

My sister lives on a large undeveloped property in Shenandoah County, Virginia. We're able to go on short hikes around her property from time to time. This is a view of Persimmon Hill.

My sister swears she can see the stony man in the rock formation, but I can't see it.

Not sure what trail this was, but I do recall it was off the Skyline Drive.

Studio

Various pictures of my old 'home studio. Currently in the process of moving to a new location, so this collection will be updated with new pictures in the future.

Messing around with the modular rack; I'm using ableton to send midi to the modular synth via a midi to cv converter from Jake's Custom Shop. That dude makes kinda the best stuff.

Picture of that same midi setup. Space is a bit of premium on my desk as it's also used for gaming and my job...
